Greetings, and welcome to the homepage of Students for the Second Amendment @ the University of Texas Arlington!

Realizing the lack of political efficacy within the young adult population and the constant "sensitizing" by the academic left and liberal media with regard to firearms, and hence the Second Amendment, several students gathered together in the fall of 2003 on the campus of the University of Texas Arlington. These actions, they believe, pose a serious threat and potential danger to our Creator granted and constitutionally secured Rights, and therefore to the future safety of our citizenry and way of life. One of the students who had previously surfed the National SF2A website and had been in contact with the Executive Director, Damaso Torres, suggested the group start an SF2A chapter at this campus to address these apprehensions. Together, and with the help of Damaso, the students founded the Students for the Second Amendment @ UTA by the end of the fall semester of 2003!

Students for the Second Amendment is specifically dedicated to educate young people about issues relating to the scholarship of the Bill of Rights, with emphasis on the Second Amendment, and provide an opportunity for them to find political expression and recognition. To that end we currently offer ourselves as public speakers with majors in political science and history for your youth group, classroom, or community organization relative to our purpose. It is our goal to also be able to provide speakers and demonstrators who possess NRA sponsored certifications in order to assist with firearms programs in basic, pistol, rifle, shotgun, personal, and range safety for your activity or youth organization. Read what the national organization has done. Examine our chapter's constitution and read about our current events and regular meeting schedule. Your organization or business may benefit through participating in our activities!

Would you like to become a member of SF2A @ UTA, or do you have questions regarding members' benefits or service opportunities?

Monetary or other types of donations are also gratefully appreciated and we will post your name and or business link right on our homepage!
